Malala Yousafzi (b. 1997) is a Pakistani activist fighting for female equity in education, winning many awards and honors for her activism even in her early teens. At 15 she was gravely injured when shot in the head by a would-be Taliban assassin. After a long recovery, Malala’s movement only became stronger, making her the youngest person ever to win a Nobel Peace Prize and bringing her world-wide acclaim.
